About the Firm


Carpenter Lipps & Leland LLP, established in 1994 by the three senior litigation partners in the Columbus office of Jones Day, is a litigation boutique that combines a small firm atmosphere with large firm litigation opportunities.  It now numbers approximately 20 lawyers.  Carpenter Lipps & Leland’s clients are preeminent national and local businesses.  The Firm’s client list continues to expand because of its focus on litigation and its singular commitment to client service.  

As a natural extension of its location in the state capital of Ohio, the public policy and government regulation group is the Firm's newest, but fastest growing area of practice.  Increasingly, the Firm is called upon to represent clients in the myriad ways their interests are affected by governmental issues, particularly in the areas of utilities, energy, manufacturing, banking and financial, education, and insurance, as well as trade associations and government entities.
