David J. Barthel

Professional Biography: Before joining us, Dave Barthel served for five years as a judicial law clerk to federal judges of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
Since joining the Firm, Dave has worked on complicated business disputes involving class actions, securities, electronic discovery, tort, and breach of contract. He is a member of the Columbus Bar Association's Federal Court Committee.
Dave attended Capital University Law School on a Presidential Merit Scholarship. He earned top honors in legal drafting, interviewing and counseling clients, contract law, professional responsibility, and family law, and he served as an editor on the Law Review and a member of the mock trial team.
During and prior to law school, Dave was a public elementary school teacher in the Dublin City and Columbus City School Districts and holds a master's degree in education. He and his wife are the proud parents of three children.
