 Jennifer A. L. Battle

Professional Biography:
Jen Battle has extensive litigation experience in a wide range of matters, including toxic tort cases, medical monitoring cases, class action litigation and settlement administration, multi-district litigation, and business disputes. Her commercial litigation work includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to individuals, in a variety of business disputes, including construction cases, corporate ownership disputes, intellectual property matters, breach of warranty cases, commercial lease disputes, and the enforcement of non-compete agreements. Jen has also represented both corporate and individual defendants in criminal and government investigation matters. She is experienced in handing administrative proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, preliminary injunctions, and other state and federal trial court matters. Jen also has substantial appellate experience, briefing and arguing cases before the Pennsylvania appellate courts and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
In addition to her litigation work, Jen counsels clients on electronic discovery issues and document retention best practices.
Prior to joining Carpenter Lipps & Leland, Jen practiced as a litigator in Philadelphia where she was named a Lawyer on the Fast Track by The Legal Intelligencer and the Pennsylvania Law Weekly, and was twice named a Pennsylvania “Rising Star” in general litigation by the publishers of Super Lawyers and Law & Politics. While in Philadelphia, she served on the board of Musicopia, an organization devoted to enhancing music education in underserved schools, played the violin in the Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra, and was active in the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania.
Jen is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii and now lives with her husband and two young sons in Worthington, Ohio. She is active in the Stilson Highlands Civic Association and, in her spare time, enjoys cooking and playing the violin.
