Michael N. Beekhuizen

Professional Biography:
Michael Beekhuizen has an active commercial litigation practice that includes the representation of major corporate clients in cases in state and federal courts around the country. He has defended large U.S. and Japanese corporations in putative class actions in Arizona, California, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas. He has both prosecuted and defended a number of commercial disputes across the country, including business tort, contract, and joint venture claims in, among others, the manufacturing, franchisor/franchisee, and managed care industries. Michael’s appellate work includes amicus briefs before the Ohio and U.S. Supreme Courts, as well as appellate work in numerous state and federal Courts of Appeal. He also is involved in mediation and arbitration for a variety of clients.
Michael’s pro bono work has included accepting federal court appointments to represent criminal defendants in habeas corpus petitions and other appellate matters, as well as appellate work on behalf of various governmental organizations, associations, and non-profit educational foundations.
