 Christopher T. Kennedy

Professional Biography:
Christopher Kennedy is an experienced litigator, having represented Fortune 500 companies, small businesses and individuals in numerous state and federal courts throughout the United States. His legal practice has touched on many facets of commercial litigation, including insurance coverage disputes, toxic tort and environmental matters and products liability claims. Chris also has represented various industries, in particular energy and public utility companies, in administrative proceedings and appellate courts.
Prior to joining Carpenter Lipps & Leland LLP, Chris worked as a litigator in Washington, D.C., advocating on behalf of clients in an array of complex cases, including overseeing company responses to antitrust and securities investigations, defending multimillion dollar property damage and personal injury claims, and litigating against federal agencies. Chris also worked briefly as a litigator in Albany, New York, representing health care providers, insurers and managed care companies in New York state and federal courts, as well as bringing legal challenges to the administrative acts of New York State agencies.
While attending law school, Chris was managing editor of Law and Contemporary Problems, the oldest legal journal published at Duke University. Prior to attending law school, Chris worked as a teaching assistant at The Ohio State University in the Department of Greek and Latin, while working on his master's degree in Classical Studies. Chris' added educational background in the hard sciences and mathematics also allows him to comfortably handle technically complex cases.
