Theodore M. Munsell

Professional Biography:
Ted Munsell is an experienced trial lawyer who has served as lead counsel in cases that routinely involve multi-million dollar exposure. He has acted as lead counsel in over forty civil jury trials in federal and state courts, both within and outside Ohio, and is listed in Best Lawyers In America and Ohio Super Lawyers.
Ted’s trial practice has been varied, including a significant portion being focused upon the defense of hospitals, physicians, and other professionals in errors and omissions claims, as well as other litigation matters that arise within the healthcare profession. He has enjoyed the opportunity to defend product manufacturers, including those who design and manufacture medical devices, aircraft, pipes and piping systems, and propane line fittings. He was joint lead counsel for the consortium of welding rod manufacturers named as defendants in over 200 toxic tort lawsuits filed throughout Ohio. For the insurance industry he has represented companies in first party defenses, including directors and officers, and errors and omissions coverage disputes. He has also been active representing commercial businesses in resolving disputes, including litigation pertaining to: patent infringement, private and public nuisance, employment, and contractual matters. He is very active as counsel within the agricultural community, including counsel for a vertically integrated agricultural corporation.
He continues to be a member of Defense Research Institute and The Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the latter of which he has served as State Representative and been involved with various committees, and the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys. Ted has served in the past as a trustee on behalf of Action For Children, and when he has a spare moment, he enjoys travel, skiing and golf.
